Director of Nursing

Overview
Director of Nursing of Nursing needed. The Director of Nursing will supervise all personnel who deliver direct patient services. Participates in all activities relative to provision of professional services. Ensures that all staff providing care maintains professional standards of community practice. Helps to establish and implement policies for, and keeps records of criteria for admission to service, case assignments and case management. Maintains and adheres to agency procedure and patient care policy manuals. Must possess creative thinking, time management, team building and organizational skills. Promotes effective positive feedback to and from. Exceptional communication skills both verbal and in writing.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and payer requirements for reimbursement. Provides case management as described in state and federal regulations. Establishes service policies and procedures in compliance with state health statutes and administrative rules to include CDC guidelines, OSHA guidelines for employee safety, Standard precautions, and infection control procedures. Confidentiality of patient care is maintained and findings of the performance improvement program are used to improve services. Valid, current driver’s license and has access to a reliable automobile.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Colorado. A Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required. A Masters Degree is preferred. At least 2 years of health care including one year of supervisory experience. Occupational Therapist

Description:

Part time Occupational Therapists to make home care visits in the Pueblo area. Would perform initial evaluations and ongoing treatment visits to homebound patients. Provides counsel and instructions to clients, families and health care staff. Previous home care experience preferred, however will train qualified person.

Position Requirements and essential Job Functions

License or Certification:

Must be in possession of current state license or certification on or before the first day of employment. CPR certification required. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current car insurance.

Education, training and Experience:

Successfully completed a degree form an accredited therapy program or one that is determined to be substantially equivalent to a U.S. accredited program by an appropriate certifying agency preferred.  Must have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
